For a little lesson in world geography, my older kid is getting a huge kick out of the NORAD Tracks Santa site again this year. Each stop on Santa’s route has a photo and links to additional information, plus some have video clips. I also think it’s hilarious that they have this conceit that joint Canadian-US military planes escort Santa into NORAD airspace.

A girl in a land of boys
I used to have the upper hand. When my boyfriend (now husband) moved in with me, my little cat Esmeralda and I tipped the hormonal balance in the female direction.
10 years later, Esme is no longer with us in this life (she died last Sunday), and my house is overrun with guys. Two sons, one husband, and two tomcats stalking the neighborhood. Willies everywhere you look.
